Cheap holidays

Tips

What do you think about “Cheap holidays”? Is it a grubby 2 star apartment in the middle of nowhere or a relaxing holiday that is just what you are looking for? Anyone who has never been on a cheap holiday before might be a little concerned about booking one (especially if they have heard some of the 80s horror stories about them) but there really is no need to worry. Thankfully times have changed, and so have the cheap holidays that are now on offer. With this in mind here is a beginner’s guide to cheap holidays that can help you to get the holiday you want at a vastly reduced price.

The cheaper holidays are often offered by travel agents as the departure gets nearer and the full quota for the holiday has not been met. If you are prepared to wait a little you could get up to 50%, or sometimes even more off the price of a holiday to destinations all over the world.

You can also get cheap holiday packages online without a travel agent. This way, you can save on the travel agents commission. Some airlines offer package holidays to their home countries, such as from Emirates to Dubai. All you need to do is to decide on the dates and they will book a hotel and flights for you. These are cheaper than other accommodations as the country or city is trying to increase tourism, so the airline gets cheaper hotel rates for bringing in tourists.

By booking your holiday three or more months in advance, you can take advantage of the cheapest rates. Some airlines, however, also offer cheaper rates just a few days before the flight date in order to sell and thus accommodate all the seats. This is, however, a better option in case you aren’t traveling with a lot of people and you may get your flight for the desired destination.

Another cheap way to book flights is to get them directly from the airline website. This way, you cut out costs of any other third party that might be charging a commission.

Before you plan your holiday, ask your family or friends to see if they have any summer homes you can rent at a low rate, or if they have a place they can let you use for free. Many people have holiday homes that they are not able to rent out and are thus available for lower rates. Also, if someone backs out at the last minute, they might be happy to let you rent it at a lower price so that they don’t make a total loss.

Finally, a great idea for cheap package holidays is to sign on for packages within the country. If you use your car, or a RV, then you can save on flight costs as well. Some backpacking holidays are really cheap and you could end up having a lot of fun outdoors. And if you want for some goog deals and cheap holidays lets see www.ulookubook.com.
