Antigua is most northeastern island of the Caribbean, bordering the Atlantic Ocean on the north and the Caribbean Sea on the south. The beaches on the Atlantic side are rough and good for windsurfing, but not so recommended for swimming. On the other hand most of the beaches are on the Caribbean side where waters are calm and enjoyable for all kind of water sports, swimming, snorkeling and more. This is the reason Antigua gets visitors from all parts of the world.

Dickinson Bay Beach – This beach features great coral reefs that are ideal for Caribbean Snorkeling. The waters are calm and there are many amenities to please the tourist’s desires. It is a Full Resort Beach.
Carlisle Bay – This beach, located on the northwestern coast is a full resort beach, featuring all amenities for tourists. Waters are clear blue and the sand white as powder. It is safe for children to swim here, therefore very attractive for Family Vacations. It hosts two resorts: The Carlisle Bay Hotel and the Curtain Bluff.
Jumby Beach – This is the location of the Rosewood Jumby Bay Resorts, a luxury resorts visited by tourists from all over the world. The beach is private with a beachfront of white sands and clear waters. I recommend this resort for Honeymooners.
Long Bay – is north of Half Moon Bay. It is mostly visited by guests of nearby Long Bay Hotel and Pineapple Beach Club. The waters are shallow and offer good Snorkeling to view the many Coral Reefs.
Pineapple Beach – This is another beach ideal for snorkeling. It is blessed with a Palm Grove offering the most needed shade. It features the Grand Pineapple Beach Resort and Long Beach Hotel.
Pigeon Point – If you wish to swim or snorkel, this a great beach. It has lovely clear waters and white sands.
Johnson’s Point – There are no facilities on the southwestern beach. So if what you are looking for is solitude surrounded by white sand asn clear waters, this is the place.
Turner’s Beach – While enjoying this beach you may see the nearby volcanic Montserrat Island. It is a quite beach caressed by cool breezes.
