3. While the two methods above work well, one method stands above all of the rest. Knowing someone on the inside is always a good way to get a deal, and this is no different in the airline industry. What you need to do is find a current or former employee that is willing to tell you how to really save money on plane tickets. That is what I did, and have saved tons of cash in the process.
